 "The world is my country". That is how Meriem Peillet, the creator of Quidzy, introduces herself. Born in North Africa, she grew up in Paris and has lived for many years in Italy. She has traveled widely and currently lives in Bali, Indonesia.
After her arrival to this magical island she was drawn to the traditional arts and values that she found
there in the midst of a multiethnic and tolerant culture. She was thrilled to discover the batiks,
embroideries, silks, linens, organzas, hand-woven cottons and beadwork of Java and Bali and uses them all in her collection.
Her designs take advantage of the synergies that she discovers among the fabrics, the textures and the colors, creating thoroughly modern lines of clothing. The Quidzy collection is all about energy, movement, fun, trendiness, simplicity, comfort and ease -- yet these clothes are undeniably glamorous!
